Was founded on October 16, 2003, in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia. Since its foundation the organization has responded to the needs of the construction sector with the role of Management, Development and Project Management.
With a great business vision, Arturo Gomez Stevenson, Colombian-born Cartagenero created the AGS Consultores in 2003. Based on his personal experience of many years of work in the banking sector of the city, where he served as Regional Manager of the largest mortgage bank in the country specialized in financing housing construction projects and different construction projects, he decided that as a Business Manager he could lead a team to join him in reinventing the business of construction, after the mortgage business crisis that occurred in Colombia in the late nineties.
Gathering all the knowledge, commitment and experience in accordance with what he considered most appropriate, practical and functional, he got all the administrative, commercial, technical and financial resources in his company to interact, taking advantage of the new good times beginning for construction in Cartagena de Indias, which was already strengthening in larger cities like Bogota and Medellin.
Other factors such as the country's economic situation that was beginning to improve, low interest housing loans, the incentives created by the Government as the AFC accounts (Savings for Construction Promotion), the new Law on Leasing, devaluation of the currency against the dollar that brought many foreign buyers and encouraged citizens to bring in their savings in other currencies, were determining factors that positioned AGS Consulting in the market and became the only company in Cartagena de Indias to offer specialized services in Construction project Management, implementing the integrated management of the project from conception to completion of the work and delivery to the new owners.
Since 2007, AGS Consultores makes a strategic shift in its management and project development portfolio and decides to focus on hotels, commercial, office and industrial parks, taking into account the incentive of a new law for the hotel development and characteristics of Cartagena as a port city.
